Position Summary: 
 
The Planning Manager will support the company through executing Demand and Supply Planning responsibilities across EVgo, reporting to the Principal lead of Supply Chain Planning. This individual will collaborate across key functional groups such as, but not limited to, Supply Chain Operations, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Marketing to ensure supply continuity for product launches and ongoing fleet maintenance as well as basic core business activities for all business areas. This is a critical role that will support and focus on the planning function for the company and aid in process optimization, inclusive of driving companywide S&OP and IBP process and tools
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop the demand and supply planning program at a SKU and weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and make recommended adjustments to forecasts based on changes in demand, market trends, and supply / inventory positions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the organization such as supply chain operations, sales & marketing, as well as technical and finance partners.
  • Identify, resolve, or escalate critical planning issues. Initial escalation management on demand/supply planning issues and drive to resolution.
  • Work across departments to establish goals and objectives around supply chain parameters such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, excess and obsolete stock.
  • Alignment and tracking for CapEx and financial processes against material procurement.
  • Implement, monitor, and report on relevant cross-functional KPIs to ensure effective execution, integration, and performance of IBP process
  • Incorporate key business results into IBP forum and continuously improve the monthly IBP content through timeliness of the demand and supply plan submissions, reduction of cycle-time, and robust alignment with financial budgets and projections

Required Skills/Experience:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent industry experience of 4+ years
  • Direct experience of 4+ years in Planning roles (Forecasting, Supply planning, Supply Chain Optimization, Transportation, or production planning)
  • 2+ years of specific experience in Finance Planning, Supply Chain or Planning Management.
  • Experience in the High-Tech industry
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage change in the organization and to influence others.
  • Experience in S&OP/IBP optimization or optimization in similar workflows
  • Good analytical skills and capable of using models for optimization purposes
  • Strong project management/process improvement skills.
  • Proven/excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the Automotive & EV distribution industry (or similar).
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced planning methodologies, statistical modeling, and demonstrated experience in developing and deploying planning solutions that meet business needs
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, develop and implement solutions to address issues.
    Prior experience in managing by influence across multiple teams/groups across an organization
  • Experience managing multi-level forecasting with large/complex SKU counts
  • Ability to collaborate with different functions, focus on achieving practical business impact and work at both working team and executive levels.
  • Ability to operate independently and communicate effectively with internal clients, peers, and senior managers as well as external suppliers
  • Excellent project management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A high energy level, entrepreneurial spirit, decisive and confident
The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000 USD to $145,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
