CET is looking for a Program Consultant to provide expertise, planning, and assistance to homeowners who want to reduce costs and improve environmental performance. As a Program Consultant, you excel at communication, establishing excellent rapport with customers, clients, business owners, vendors, and coworkers on the phone, over email, and in meetings. 

 

The ideal candidate has familiarity with energy efficiency programs and/or experience with income-based programs for homeowners and renters. The role works both independently and in collaboration with other Program Consultants and Program Managers to complete deliverables, drive existing programs, and onboard new programs. 


For nearly 50 years, CET has helped people and businesses save energy and reduce waste. We partner with city and state agencies, utilities, homeowners, and business owners across the U.S. to build a just and equitable transition to the low-carbon economy. With the passage of state and federal climate policy, utility programs are rapidly evolving to align with carbon reduction goals. Program Consultants are critical catalysts in helping customers navigate incentive programs and get electrification and energy measures implemented. In this rewarding opportunity in the field of energy efficiency, you will:

  • Provide energy efficiency program information and facilitate property owners through program offerings. 
  • Schedule site visits and answer hotlines. 
  • Coordinate and support virtual and in-person events, including logistics, attendee registration, etc. 
  • Enter project data accurately into appropriate platforms to track customer interactions and project progress. 
  • Generate regular client reports and compile metrics and progress towards program deliverables. 
  • Act as a liaison with vendors, partners, customers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Suggest improvements to functional and program processes and collaborate on developing new processes. 
  • Potentially provide coaching and guidance to the team for quality assurance on deliverables. 
  • Potentially contribute to training for new staff on the team. 
  • Collaborate externally with customers and internally with program stakeholders to progress projects forward. 

  

You're a great fit for this position if you have: 

  • An enthusiasm for CET's mission. 
  • A college degree and at least 2 years of customer service experience and written communications experience, or 3-4 years of customer service (phone, email). 
  • 3-5 years of work experience in non-profit, environmental/sustainability, and/or energy efficiency. 
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office products and Salesforce. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners. 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are required. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. 
  • An ability to work with multiple programs and deliverables in a collaborative environment. 
  • Experience with energy efficiency incentive programs, a Weatherization Assistance Program, or other income-based programs preferred. 
    • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese preferred. 


    Remote employees must have high-speed internet access and a working location free from distractions and interference during business hours. 

     

    Compensation and Benefits:

Individual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.  

      

    CET offers excellent benefits, including vacation, holiday, and personal/sick time; medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; and a retirement plan with a company match. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt, remote position with 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. 

       

    Mileage Reimbursement: CET pays mileage at the prevailing IRS mileage rate.  

      

    Home Office Stipend: CET provides a monthly $85 stipend for your home internet and/or phone expenses.
