Develop clear operational guidance to help biochar suppliers implement MRV protocol requirements seamlessly, supporting validation and verification of biochar storage projects.
Lead updates to biochar protocols by synthesizing supplier data, conducting literature reviews and collaborating with research partners, ensuring scientific rigour and practical feasibility.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address reversal risks, drive innovation in biochar durability assessments and position Isometric as a trusted leader in biochar-based carbon removal.
PhD in biochemistry, environmental and earth sciences, chemical engineering or a similar field with expertise in biomass storage and carbon removal methods; experience in biochar durability and biomass sourcing is a strong plus.
Proven research experience in biomass storage techniques, particularly in land application and shallow subsurface areas or related carbon storage methods.
Collaborative mindset with clear communication skills and the humility to approach complex challenges with determination.
