About the role: 
We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join our small and mighty team to own the marketing strategy and execution at Basis Climate. In this role, you'll drive customer acquisition and brand awareness. You'll have the opportunity to shape our marketing foundation, from paid campaigns to content strategy as part of our senior team.

This is an ideal role for a hands-on marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a meaningful impact in the climate space. You'll have the freedom to experiment, implement new tools and processes, and build our marketing engine. You'll play a crucial role in telling our story and driving growth as we help businesses of all sizes make the most of federal tax incentives through our innovative solutions.

What You Bring To The Role:

  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience working in a high-growth environment, ideally in climate tech or fintech, but we are open to industry switchers!

  • A highly organized mind with the ability to multitask efficiently and move fast on projects

  • Excellent people skills and the ability to build relationships with customers

  • Strong problem solving abilities and the desire to create positive customer experiences

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Learn to love the tax code and everything has to offer to clean energy deployment

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Drive ROI-focused paid marketing campaigns across Search and LinkedIn, managing budgets and optimizing performance

  • Develop and execute SEO strategy to increase organic visibility, including content optimization and keyword targeting

  • Manage our outside design support to maintain brand consistency, including creation of key marketing collateral to support business development efforts

  • Identify and implement marketing technology solutions to automate processes and increase our reach 

  • Create and manage content calendar aligned with business goals, coordinating with outside writers and internal experts to establish thought leadership

  • Optimize the sales and marketing funnel through lead scoring, nurture campaigns, and continuous analysis of conversion metrics

  • Work with outside communications professionals on targeted media campaigns throughout the year

Compensation:

  • Competitive base ($120,000-$150,000) + performance based bonus
