Job Purpose:

The Supply Planning Manager has full responsibility to manage the day-to-day operations related to Inventory Planning, Production Scheduling, and Capacity Planning.

The incumbent will be a supply chain expert, with the ability to drive a Supply Planning transformation via SAP S4/Hana. The role is responsible for the design, transformation, and implementation of the supply planning process in NA, as we grow in complexity and re-engineer our processes under SAP.

The role will develop processes, ways of working, and people capability, in supply planning. By evolving and transforming the planning approach, this individual will lead the team to develop

SAP short & long-term inventory plans, Short term production scheduling Rolling 24 – 36 month capacity plans.

The successful candidate will be the process leader for the Supply Review process, and they will drive a continuous improvement approach while closely partnering with manufacturing, engineering, innovation, and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage and optimize the supply planning network, addressing the complexity of multiple IPEX companies

  • Lead the development of a robust and integrated Pipe supply planning process across key functions including Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, Operational Excellence, and Logistics.

  • Develop a reliable 3-month supply plan by leading the integration of supply planning processes across multiple functions.

  • Lead the refinement and cross-functional alignment of the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

  • Partners with other planning teams, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, and Finance to develop an achievable production plan.

  • Lead the management of inventory criteria and governance, to achieve best in class inventory quality and working capital performance. Manages the balance of service vs. working capital risk to effectively meet both objectives. Proactively anticipates supply risks and collaborates cross-functionally to mitigate customer impact.

  • Lead the creation of both short- and long-term capacity planning strategies that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Accountable for developing and communicating Rough Cut Capacity Plans, Budget Plans, and Long-Term Capacity Plans to support proactive decision-making and business growth.

  • Lead capacity modeling and scenario planning to support innovative product supply needs.

  • Manages and develops a team of 6 Supply Planners.

  • Applies Lean Six Sigma methods to challenge the status quo and looks for innovative ways to continually improve processes, optimize inventory and improve service.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a specialty in Operations Management, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or other relevant Supply Chain discipline.

  • Credentials and training in CPIM, Lean Manufacturing, and Project Management, are preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in production planning, inventory management and/or Supply Chain management experience preferably within an industrial manufacturing or CPG environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills; ability to identify options, make recommendations, and escalate as needed.

  • High proficiency with Excel, data analytic tools usage, and ERP use (SAP-IBP)

  • Lean Six Sigma training with preferably a Green Belt certification.
