Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Laborer to join our hardworking team! If you enjoy working outdoors, thrive in a hands-on role, and take pride in delivering high-quality results, this is the job for you. As an Outside Laborer, you’ll be an integral part of our projects, helping with a variety of tasks including site preparation, landscaping, and general labor. You’ll work alongside a skilled crew, contributing to projects that make a tangible impact. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, work in a collaborative environment, and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your work come to life, we want you on our team!

 

 

The ability to travel 2-4 nights throughout the week on key projects and home on the weekends. Per Diem and hotel stay provided.

What your day-to-day might look like?

 

Morning Start

  • Begin the day by donning proper PPE and attending a safety briefing to ensure readiness for the day’s tasks.
  • Review the work plan and detailed specifications for erosion and sediment control, as well as traffic control needs.

Safety and Equipment Checks

  • Conduct weekly equipment inspections, ensuring all tools and machinery are in safe working condition.
  • Complete and submit maintenance checklists, addressing any issues or repairs promptly.

Tool Operation and Heavy Equipment Use

  • Operate and maintain power, farm, and landscape tools such as drills, chainsaws, and weed eaters.
  • Safely utilize heavy equipment like skid steers, off-road trucks, and tractors to support erosion control efforts.

Hands-On Erosion Control

  • Work hands-on to implement erosion and sediment control measures, following detailed specifications to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Seeding, mulching and matting
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure safety around the work area
  • Set-Up and maintenance of bypass water pumping & work area dewatering.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with team members to coordinate efforts and achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Communicate instructions and updates from supervisors to other crew members, ensuring clarity and alignment.

End-of-Day Wrap-Up

  • Clean and store tools and equipment, preparing for the next day.
  • Review completed tasks with supervisors and ensure all project goals for the day have been met.

This role combines physical activity, problem-solving, and leadership, making each day dynamic and rewarding. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.

Qualifications

We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:
  • 1-2 years of prior work experience
  • Experience with erosion and sediment control tasks, traffic control, and equipment operation.
  • Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to relay instructions and updates to team members.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
