About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Fundraiser and portfolio manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and securing debt financing opportunities for the company. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to raise capital from various sources, including donor organizations, government bodies, banks, private firms, and institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fundraising Strategy & Execution (40%):
   • Support the execution of fundraising strategies to raise capital for IIX’s impact investment funds and initiatives.
   • Assist in the preparation of high-quality fundraising materials, including pitch decks, investor reports, and impact-focused presentations.
   • engage with potential institutional investors, philanthropic organizations, and high-net-worth individuals who align with IIX’s mission and impact goals.
   • Foster relationships with current and prospective investors, ensuring ongoing engagement and communication.
2. Investor Relations & Communication (20%):
   • Organize and support investor meetings, conferences, webinars, and roadshows, providing relevant documentation, performance reports, and analysis.
   • Facilitate the flow of information between investors, internal teams, and portfolio companies, ensuring alignment and transparency.
3. Portfolio Management & Impact Monitoring (20%):
   • Conduct research, due diligence, and analysis for new potential investments, with a focus on businesses and projects that align with IIX’s impact criteria.
   • Track and analyse financial, operational, and impact data for portfolio companies, providing insights to management for strategic decision-making.
   • Assist in structuring impact investment deals and ensuring portfolio companies adhere to impact metrics and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.
   • Prepare regular impact reports, investment updates, and investor presentations, showcasing the performance and impact of IIX’s portfolio.
   • Maintain detailed records of fundraising activities, investor interactions, and portfolio performance metrics.
4. Market Research & Analysis (20%):
   • Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices within the impact investment and sustainable finance sectors.
   • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for investment in the impact space, including social enterprises, sustainable infrastructure projects, and climate-focused ventures.
   • Analyse industry developments and competitor activities, providing insights into the strategic direction of IIX’s funds and portfolio.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

The success of this role will be measured by 

• Fundraising Performance in terms of capital raised, number of investor engagements, and success rate of fundraising efforts
• Timeliness and accuracy of investor updates, satisfaction score, and engagement levels
• Quality of due diligence, portfolio performance tracking, and adherence to ESG & impact metrics
• Identification of new investment opportunities, industry analysis, and strategic insights provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CFA, relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Experience working in emerging markets or with businesses focused on social and environmental impact.
• Knowledge of the social enterprise ecosystem and impact measurement tools.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, diverse, and globally dispersed environment.

•  3-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Proven track record in fundraising or sales.
• Passion for the organization's mission and goals. - Aligning with PREM values
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of debt financing instruments and markets.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Experience with financial modeling software such as Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to debt financing.
• Experience working with international investors.
