Job Summary
As Training Specialist, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of learning solutions and programs to crucial teams and positions within the Pineville 2 plant. Partnering with the Management Team, L&D COE, and other stakeholders they will assess the strategic guidelines and responsibilities and ensure consistency in the implementation of the training program for the site operations.
Principal Responsibilities
• Perform a proactive analysis of the training needs for each team and role. This includes, but is not limited to, new team members onboarding, technical/skills development, on the job training (OJT), classroom instruction, new equipment operational instructions, and performance development/improvement
• In collaboration with the Management Team, craft a comprehensive training program based on the detailed analysis for each role
• Collaborate with the Management team, L&D COE, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to develop short, and long-term learning solutions or programs, that support the achievement of location goals and strategy
• Support the launch of new learning programs, from beginning to end, including needs analysis, instructional design, content integration, learning delivery, session facilitation, measuring effectiveness, and project management
• Develop, produce, and maintain various quality training content and materials, such has manuals, presentations, training plans, timelines, work instructions, etc.
• Support and align with all EHS policies and procedures, as well ensure the same policies and procedures are engrained as an integral part of the training program
• Deliver “Train the Trainer” courses as directed for specific roles
• Track and audit the training performed, successes and opportunities for improvements of each team member trained and the overall success of training offerings
• Monitor and measure learning outcomes, adjusting solutions or programs based on changing business needs to drive continuous improvement
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key collaborators and subject matter experts
• Stay current on L&D trends and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements
• Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of a learning culture within the organization
Qualifications & Experience
• University degree/certificate in Education, Adult Learning, or equivalent L&D experience
• ATD/CTSD certification an asset
• 3+ years of training and instructional experience within a manufacturing environment
• Project Management experience preferred
• Strong relationship building with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong facilitation skills
• Experience onboarding new employees
