Data & Policy Program Manager
Job Description
We are recruiting for an exciting new role to expand our small but growing non-profit start-up team! The Data & Policy Program Manager will manage our utility research and advocacy support program, and play a supporting role in either our local data or policy work.
The Data & Policy Manager will manage the Utility Research Program. This includes:
- Setting program strategy and overseeing the completion of utility research and datasets (including utility boards, energy opportunities, and more).
- Building and maintaining relationships with place-based and national partners, ranging from local grassroots groups to national climate think tanks.
- Proactively working to meet groups’ data and research needs -- with the goal of supporting
utility reform and advocacy campaigns.
- Understanding and navigating complex political and regulatory landscapes.
Applicants must have significant experience in two or more of the following areas:
- State, local, or utility climate policy: either in an advocacy, legislative, regulatory, or
technical support role
- Data science, data analysis, and/or data journalism
- Coalition-building and/or partnerships experience in the climate, energy, or environmental justice space
We're an early-stage, mission-driven organization. The Data & Policy Manager will be a core part of Climate Cabinet’s team and have significant ownership over our strategy and growth trajectory. As such, we’re looking for someone flexible, curious, driven, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
