Location: Mount Kisco, NY (Hybrid)
Reports to: Solar Team - Senior Program Manager
Sustainable Westchester is seeking an intern to support our Solar team this summer. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability, policy, and community outreach while making a real impact. You must be part of the Prep for Prep internship program to apply.
Responsibilities
- Research & Analysis – Explore policies, technologies, and trends to expand solar adoption, especially in underserved communities.
- Data & Mapping – Use Excel and GIS tools to assess solar energy potential and track impact.
- Content Development – Assist with marketing materials, reports, and communications.
- Community Outreach – Support webinars, presentations, and outreach campaigns.
Qualifications
- Passion for clean energy and sustainability
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
