Skeleton's Product Development department is looking for a driven and experienced

Senior Mechanical Engineer

with the vision to match our ambition.

In this role, you would be part of our Mechanical engineering team focusing on creating deliverables for energy storage systems and contributing to building the competency for electrical system design to the team.

Your tasks in the net zero journey:

  • Creating mechanical designs.
  • Working through relevant standards and/or customer requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Communiation with component suppliers, ensure that design meets target cost.
  • Ensure the fulfilment of customer requirements with design solutions. Review & approve designs, drawings and technical solutions.
  • Work as a subject matter expert in customer projects.
  • Contribute to the company’s technology and product roadmap development.
  • Work with research projects.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute to the mechanical development process and tool development.

Requirements

We don’t expect to master it all. At Skeleton, you’ll have the support of the team and we work together to achieve our goals. However, there are requirements you should be able to fulfill to succeed in this role:

  • Successfully completed studies in Mechanical engineering or closely related field (Mechatronics etc).
  • Industry experience of 5 + years in Mechanical engineering.
  • Have designed electrical systems (from mechanical perspective), not only individual components.
  • Experience with Electrical storage systems/Electrical Engineering/Power Systems/Electric Grid Solutions.
  • Experience leading a workgroup of engineers or ownership of technical architecture.
  • Well-seasoned to work with SolidWorks.
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping.
  • Acquaintance with development processes.
  • High proficiency in technical writing.
  • Understanding of quality tools (DFMEA, Significant characteristics etc).
  • Analytical thinking to solve problems.
  • Focus on processes and structure of work, can work well under pressure and keep track of time management.
  • Ability to work independently but being a good team player and colleague as well.
  • Have fluency in English.
