In this role, you will drive the growth of our locations, as our goal is a European network of 1,000 fast charging stations on prime locations. We’re looking for an Expansion Manager to help us find and secure top-tier charging locations in Romandie, strengthening Fastned’s position as the go-to charging provider in Switzerland and Europe!

Your Role

As an Expansion Manager, you’ll focus on securing prime real estate in high-traffic areas, ensuring our stations are visible, accessible, and built for long-term success. You’ll work closely with landowners, developers, and retailers to forge strategic partnerships, helping Fastned solidify its position as the leading charging network in the region.

Beyond securing new locations, you’ll implement a strong network development plan, consistently expanding and managing our portfolio of contracted sites. Staying ahead of market trends will be key, as you'll monitor policy developments and understand their impact on our expansion strategy, enabling you to seize emerging opportunities.

Working as part of a dynamic, international team, you’ll also help streamline processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll dive into techno-economic topics, collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure you're fully prepared when leading negotiations. Don't worry, your onboarding will include "masterclasses" on e-mobility and fast-charging, so you'll be ready to hit the ground running and shape the future of mobility by bringing essential charging infrastructure to key locations.

This role is based in Switzerland, where you’ll join a fun, diverse team spread across Europe. You'll have the unique opportunity to learn about and contribute to an industry driven by the future, making a real impact on the energy transition!

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you need to be a strong networker and negotiator. You’ll be responsible for communicating Fastned’s vision to landowners, real estate companies, and government bodies while supporting the team’s expansion efforts.

  • 5+ years of work experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant commercial role, preferably in an international setting

  • Strong Real estate and contract knowledge (commercial, planning, and legal aspects)

  • Sales-driven and results-oriented with strong commercial acumen

  • Proven negotiation skills, comfortable dealing with both governmental bodies and private landowners

  • An affinity with commercial and financial concepts, or a willingness to learn

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English

  • Willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland and occasionally to Europe

  • A natural curiosity and passion for learning and taking on new challenges

  • A strong motivation to accelerate the energy transition

Nice to Have

  • An existing network of key private and public stakeholders in energy, infrastructure, transport, or e-mobility sectors within Switzerland

  • Previous experience in expansion or real estate, with a strong desire to deepen expertise

  • Experience in high-growth companies or renewable energy

  • Speaks German or Italian like a pro!
