The opportunity

Polestar is fast-paced, exciting, and a growing organisation. We want to ensure our future as a compliant company. Our Quality Department is passionate about connecting our ambitions into the quality of our products.

We are now looking for a Product Compliance Data Analyst that will belong to our Quality Department, within our Product Compliance & Field Actions Team. We want you, who is eager to ensure compliance and quality in our authority reporting duties specifically in North America. You will accurately manage and analyze warranty and consumer complaints data in order to fulfill authority reporting duties for the North American market.

This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.


The Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing reporting and analyzing duties connected to Propulsion Related Parts (PRP), customer complaints, field reports and warranty claims in any product produced by Polestar for the North American market. You will be the official market contact during monthly and quarterly reporting duties as well as creating and/or support different regulatory reports that are required by law to be filled depending on the criteria or timing. This role involves coordination of quality matters and quality measures.

For example, tasks will include:

  • Manage and lead reporting duties and analyzing reported information.
  • Support Product Compliance Office and the local market teams with system and functional communications regarding reporting duties and data analysis.
  • Collect, process, and perform statistical analysis on large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Interpret and analyze consumer complaints and warranty data to alert the Product Quality organization in due time in case specific patterns and/or trends are forming for a specific part.
  • Support and gather information from Product Quality representatives related to the investigation of product failure claims as well as report the investigation progress to relevant parties.
  • Support the US National Sales Unit with critical issues and alleged product failures as well as death and injury cases connected to required reporting duties.
  • Take part in local reporting dialogues, alleged product failure claims, and propulsion related part questions affecting Polestar.
  • Monitor, interpret and inform about developments of interest from an authority/compliance perspective concerning TREAD and/or Propulsion Related Parts regulations.
  • Lead and participate in internal training and presentations within the work area.


The Ideal Candidate

To be a great fit for this role, we are searching for someone with a great business acumen, with an insight in both customers and products. You have a strong capability of problem-solving and are not afraid of making tough decisions. Taking ownership is a daily practice of yours, and you are an excellent communicator with a great track record in liaising with different parties. You like to process and analyze large datasets to find trends and patterns, as well as uncover the reasons behind them. You need have an interest in understanding automotive technology and what makes a car function, or a want to learn about it, to be able to ask the right questions related to Product Quality investigations.

In addition to the above you will have the following:

  • A degree in data analytics, compliance, legal or equivalent that is related to the role.
  • Several years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Great ability to read and interpret laws, regulations and texts from local North American authorities.
  • Excellent project management skills.
