The opportunity

As a Control and Protection Manager you will be part of HVDC unit. You will lead a team of Commissioning Engineers specialized in MACH, IEDs, SCADA and HMI and will have a direct interface with our customers. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in HVDC technology as well as your leadership skills in a fast-paced environment and you will have the possibility to influence projects with your decisions, to enable the energy grid transition faster and on a bigger scale.

This is a hybrid working role, based in our Ludvika offices and your home-office.

How you will make an impact

  • Manage a team of Commissioning Engineers, including recruitment and training.
  • Maintain high-quality deliverables and execution per project plans.
  • Plan short-term and long-term activities for HVDC projects globally.
  • Ensure effective interfaces between departments and customers.
  • Drive Scope and Division of Work discussions with other departments and customers.
  • Oversee existing processes and identify new ones as needed.
  • Implement management strategy and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support tender work for the commissioning scope

Your background

  • Education: Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or computer science; Master’s in Engineering and MBA/Project Management certification are advantages.
  • Experience: Several years in Control and Protection or SCADA, HVDC technology, AC substations, and commissioning work in complex plants.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with MACH technology, IEC61850, and programming of IED relays is advantageous.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication, interpersonal skills, and coaching ability.
  • Multitasking: Capacity to handle multiple parallel activities.
