Senior Project Developer – Solar & BESS
Statkraft aims at a 1.5 – 2.0 GW of yearly wind and solar developments in Europe after 2025. To reach that target we have decided to expand our business to Poland. We are targeting organic greenfield development as a starting point but expect to use co-developments and project acquisitions as well to reach critical mass. While we believe that we can add value along the full value chain of wind and solar from development to operations we have recently often partnered with financial investors and sold projects post-construction.
As a Senior Project Developer you will proactively develop Statkraft’s Solar and BESS development portfolio in Poland providing EPC and development revenue. You will be directly responsible for impacting the company’s growth, profitability, and strategic direction. This position requires regular travel.
As a Project Developer – Solar & BESS you will be responsible for:
- Managing Solar & BESS portfolio and developing new projects (including M&A activities)
- Acquiring and negotiating land lease agreements and securing property rights
- Coordinating due diligence activities,
- Realizing and supervising the permitting processes (Grid Connection Conditions and Grid Connection Agreement, Environmental Decision, Building Permit)
- Communicating with relevant stakeholders (public authorities, municipalities, politics, landowners and services providers)
- Prospecting and negotiating co-development agreements and executing them
- Supervising and cooperating with the project co-developers
- Identifying and defining the portfolio route-to-market and the business model
- Identifying and negotiating with potential investors
- Defining development budget and managing costs and cashflows.
- Analysing and ensuring economic viability of projects and pipeline opportunities
- Presenting and reporting projects towards the internal investment committee
- Providing and further developing an in-depth knowledge of local market legislation, regulations, support schemes etc.
