About the role
The Global EHS Manager will be responsible for a wide range of technical work across EHS disciplines, focused on improving safety, reducing risk, empowering stakeholders, and lead, develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs. The candidate will work both individually and in cross-functional teams to empower all employees on EHS awareness and ensure compliance with all the applicable EHS regulations.
What You Will Do
• Support, develop and implement EHS management programs and embed EHS into business operations to ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement of programs such as lockout/tagout, confined space, hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, equipment safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, emergency action planning, hot work, electrical safety, and process safety management.
• Drive awareness and accountability for environmental, health and safety performance through all levels of the organization.
• Recommend and develop changes in policies, procedures, work environment and equipment to prevent incidents and illness.
• Establish EHS performance goals and reviews performance against those goals.
• Implement accident investigation and communication process including the identification of root causes. Implement training and tools necessary to ensure that reports on EHS incidents and performance are submitted on a timely basis, and that corrective actions are taken.
• Develops, implements, and conducts formal campus wide EHS inspections and audits. Assist with or lead external audits as required.
• Ensure adherence to Local, State and Federal regulations, industry standards/best practices
• Perform routine industrial and hazardous waste management activities such as waste characterization, periodic inspections, waste disposal scheduling and record-keeping.
• Develop and conduct EHS education and training as required.
• Assist in reporting workers’ compensation claims.
• Develop effective resolution of noncompliance events, environmental releases, work-related injuries and illnesses if/when they occur.
Who You Are and What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience
• EHS-related licenses, certifications and/or membership in EHS professional associations are desired.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in managing EHS or similar programs at the semiconductor / similar industry facility and global level, a proven track record of driving the EHS agenda in a multi-site, global R&D/manufacturing organization, and possess the ability to engage the workforce at all levels
• Broad-based knowledge of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety regulations
The base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $167,400 per year. This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
