Consents Project Manager, UK

Role
As a Consents Project Manager at Fastned, you'll be at the forefront of getting the necessary permits, licenses, and approvals to bring our beautiful stations to life. You'll work closely with stakeholders, guiding them through the approval process to make sure everything stays on track for timely delivery of consents for highways, utilities, and land management.
This role will have you managing all applications, ensuring they hit key milestones while staying fully compliant with regulations. You’ll keep tabs on consent schedules, manage risks, adapt to changes, and provide clear, actionable updates. With your experience in consent and project management in the construction sector, you’ll confidently juggle complex schedules and a variety of tasks.
Collaboration is key! Your positivity and people skills will help you work seamlessly with internal teams, external stakeholders, and agencies like transport bodies, local authorities, utility companies, and consultants. You’ll become a vital part of our Construction Management team, a dynamic group of driven professionals working across Europe to push forward exciting projects.
Based in London, this role will see you working closely with the Construction Lead, Lead Architect and other key senior stakeholders at Fastned.
Who we are looking for
To thrive in this role, you'll need to be a strategic thinker, great communicator, and a natural collaborator. With solid experience in consent and project management in construction, you’re comfortable handling highway consents (S278, etc.), utility diversions, and land management consents. You’re organised, proactive, and love a fast-paced environment, driving projects to completion while bringing energy and fresh ideas to the team. Here’s what else we’re looking for:
5+ years of project management experience in highways/utilities/land management consents
A problem-solving mindset that loves a challenge
Strong ability to connect and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills and a “can-do” attitude - keeping things moving at pace, whether by email, in person, or on the phone
Negotiation skills to tackle complex projects and manage disputes
The flexibility to excel both independently and as part of a team
Strong written and spoken English, with a passion for innovation
A drive to support the energy transition and make a greener future possible
