Angeleno Group is looking for an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our investment team to work on day-to-day research, investing, and portfolio management efforts.

Key Characteristics:
1-3 Years of Relevant Experience: Candidates should have prior experience in finance, investing, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting. Experience in energy, infrastructure, or clean technology sectors is a plus.
Passion for Clean Energy & Climate Solutions: A strong interest in sustainability, decarbonization, and the energy transition, with an eagerness to engage deeply in industry trends and emerging technologies.
Technical Proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint: Advanced financial modeling skills, experience with valuation techniques (DCF, precedent transactions, public comps), and the ability to create clear, compelling presentations and investment memos.
Exceptional Research & Analytical Abilities: Highly skilled in conducting deep-dive research on industries, market trends, and companies, synthesizing large volumes of information into actionable insights.
Critical Thinker with Strong Opinions: Ability to evaluate opportunities independently, form well-reasoned opinions, and articulate perspectives on investment decisions with confidence.
Intellectual Curiosity & Growth Mindset: A natural inclination to explore new ideas, challenge assumptions, and stay ahead of market trends, with a proactive approach to continuous learning.
Effective Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including presenting complex financial and industry concepts in a clear and concise manner to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Highly Organized & Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Core Responsibilities:
Investment Diligence & Deal Execution: Support the evaluation of new investment opportunities, conducting market research, financial analysis, and competitive assessments to inform investment decisions.
Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to assess potential investments, including sensitivity analyses, revenue forecasts, and return profiles.
Sector & Market Research: Perform deep industry research to identify investment themes, emerging trends, and potential risks and opportunities across the clean energy, climate tech, and sustainability sectors.
Proactive Sourcing & Outbound Engagement: Assist in identifying and reaching out to prospective investment opportunities, engaging with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and ecosystem players.
Presentation & Investment Memo Development: Craft compelling PowerPoint presentations, investment memoranda, and internal reports to effectively communicate research findings and investment theses.
Marketing & Thought Leadership Materials: Contribute to the creation of external-facing content, including investor materials, white papers, and market insights to position Angeleno Group as a thought leader in the sector.
Authoring & Content Creation: Synthesize research and due diligence into well-structured written reports, presentations, and investment updates for internal and external audience
