Summary

The Manager, M&A and Investments will be responsible for the execution of M&A transactions and Investment activities in the firm. The person will work in a highly visible, cross-functional environment with various internal and external stakeholders to screen, analyze, evaluate, diligence and execute a variety of transactions including greenfield investments, project and platform level acquisitions, bid pricing and strategic initiatives. The person shall also facilitate development of investment-related communications inside the firm, including investment committee memos, senior management presentations and post-approval tracking. The firm has a broad focus across energy transition spectrum and the role will provide opportunities to get exposure in utility scale, distributed generation, offshore projects as well as transmission related opportunities. This position is ideally suited for individuals who have a keen interest in working within a dynamic, deal-oriented setting, where proactive communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various teams are paramount. Candidates should be motivated by the prospect of forging a long-term career within the energy transition sector, demonstrating a commitment to contributing to the firm's success in this rapidly evolving field in a collegial and collaborative manner.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Engage in the end-to-end M&A process, including financial modeling, due diligence, and closing & integration activities.
  • Interact with various advisors, prepare deal calendars, organize internal teams, and conduct diligence meetings.
  • Analyze greenfield projects, develop economics, undertake valuation and sensitivity analyses of various opportunities.
  • Prepare investment committee memos and presentation to facilitate discussions with senior management, investment committee and board members.
  • Analyze and support bidding strategies for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Build Transfer Agreements (BTAs) and Development Asset Sales
  • Additional duties relevant to a role of this nature.

Requirements

 Required Education

  • MBA or master鈥檚 in finance or a comparable field 

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in M&A, corporate finance, and investment analysis in a deal environment
  • Combination of above experience with project finance and tax equity will also be considered favorably.
  • Experience in renewable energy industry is a strong plus.

Other Skills

  • Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft products, including Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels are critical to success at energyRe.
  • Must be able to work well in groups but also independently to manage and own tasks.
