Staff Accountant
This position will oversee and contribute to the Accounting/Finance function for multiple Recycling company locations. This individual will work on inventory, weekly performance reports, trending costs, partner closely with operations managers and more. The responsibilities include-
Responsible for commodity inventory review and accounting management for multiple locations.
Conduct month end closing and review financials books.
Review weekly performance reports for multiple locations.
Confirm duty compliance of office staff.
Manage/Supervise office staff which includes conducting performance reviews, training newly hired direct reports, and assisting in recruiting within the Department. All of the Accountant's direct reports currently work out of the same location.
Will have multi-location, multi-state responsibilities.
Responsible for tending costs and establishing cost reduction plans.
Conduct monthly operating reviews with Operation Managers, create action plans, and follow up on those action plans by providing numbers to Management.
Responsible for budgets, trending analysis, resolving variances.
Assist in special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Previous supervisory experience
Multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
Experience working with budgets
Skill in analyzing trends/variances
Ability to work well in a deadline oriented environment
Working knowledge of accounting system and MS Office products including advanced Excel
Manufacturing/ services/ recycling industry experience a plus
