Job Description

This role is responsible for integrating Information Technology Organization and Service Plan alignment into the organization's current IT service management platform implementation, the engineer ensures that the platform's capabilities support the organization’s broader IT and business objectives. This alignment is crucial for delivering value to both technical and business stakeholders, while also ensuring long-term success in managing and optimizing IT services within the organization.


 

Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Execute the IT service management (ITSM) platform engineering and integration, including architecture, design, development, and administration.
  • Implement the IT service management configuration to support operational management of events and incidents as related to managed information technology configurable items (CIs) and the governance, risk and compliance management of each in accordance with ITIL best practices and guidance.
  • Implement core ITSM processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog to configure the ITSM platform.
  • Implement Information Technology Operations Management (ITOM) processes, including Discovery, Event Management, Orchestration, and Cloud Management to configure the ITSM platform.
  • Manage the IT Assest lifecycle, including procurement, lifecycle, and disposal of IT assets, along with integrations with procurement and financial systems.
  • Implement Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) processes such as Policy and Compliance Management, Risk Management, Audit Management, and Vendor Risk Management to configure the ITSM platform.
  • Work with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.) for data exchange between IT service platform and other IT systems.
  • Configure and manage IT service management platform's CMDB and integrating with other asset management tools or databases.
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot of IT service management platform instances (dev, test, prod environments) to upkeep technical infrastructure.
  • Execute IT service management platform security model, including roles, permissions, and access controls.
  • Apply the IT service management platform instances and integrate with security tools like identity management systems (e.g., LDAP, SSO).
  • Facilitate and assist in the assessment of customer needs and captures requirements and functions of IT service management platforms.
  • Execute platform assignments with clear and specified objectives; utilizes conventional specification and/or Interface Control Documents and plans.
  • Recommend system design alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures from an assembly, transportation, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and/or decommissioning perspective.
  • Leads reviews and presentations for internal company design reviews and customer design reviews regarding IT service management platform design.
  • Organize engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, contractors, or other groups as required.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven track record of aligning IT operations and business goals through effective use of platform and ensuring IT service strategy is supported through the platform.
  • IT Service Management Platform Engineering Experience and Expertise.
  • Understanding of IT service management platform capabilities, features, and best practices.
  • Experience with IT service management platform application development, including custom applications, business rules, UI policies, and scripting.
  • Knowledge of IT service management platforms and their integration concepts and capabilities for connecting with other tools and systems.
  • Proficiency in configuring IT Service Management platform Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change Management, CMDB, and related processes.

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.).  Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them.  Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions.  Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives. 

A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:

$117,750- $196,250
