POSITION TITLE: Senior Application Engineer
HOURS / WEEK: 40
JOB SITE LOCATION: 400 Aylworth Ave, South Haven, MI 49090.
DUTIES: Responsible for the development of new projects within the market, making technical presentations, trends and performances of new products, clarifying doubts from potential customers and meeting their demands, envisioning the opportunity of closing new business. Manage activities involving the company's areas (sales, purchasing and manufacturing), adjusting products configurations to customer鈥檚 needs. Ensure the achievement of sales targets for the aftermarket, strengthening the relationship with customers through periodic contacts, customer's technical team training and disclosure of new products. Maintain the profit margin of the products in operation, analyzing the price formation of the items and negotiating with internal areas involved in the project, in order to comply with direction's determinations. Can perform activities that contribute to the achievement of quality, environmental and program objectives aimed at improving the service to internal and external customers, as well as the activities of the Quality Management System processes. Perform other activities related to your work area and/or at the discretion of your immediate superior.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Production Engineering or related degree field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related as Application Engineer, Process Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Engineer or related occupation. Experience must include: Experience with development of automotive components including spring isolators and suspension bushings; Experience with FMEA, APQP, GD&T, and PPAP; Experience with cost analysis and problem solving methodology in the automotive industry (Ishikawa, 5 whys, etc.).
