We are looking for an onsite Software Validation Engineer (m/f/d/x) for our validation team as soon as possible.

GEA Refrigeration Germany GmbH is a GEA company, one of the largest system providers for the food processing industry as well as for a wide range of other industries. As a leading manufacturer of components for industrial refrigeration technology, GEA develops, produces and sells compressors, units and liquid chillers at its sites in Berlin and Schkopau.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, automated test sequences and test scripts for control systems

  • Perform functional and performance testing on control system software

  • Collaborate with software engineers (internal/external) and project managers

  • Conduct root cause analysis of identified issues and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution

  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective

  • Take ownership for test projects in terms of time and cost planning

  • Provide clear and concise test reports and documentation

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Proven experience as a Software Tester, Quality Assurance Engineer, or similar role

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes in all project phases from requirements analysis to go-live

  • Experience with automated testing tools

  • ISTQB-Certificate min. Foundation Level required

  • Proficiency in programming languages like C++, C#, ASP.NET, Vue.js as well as in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar

  • Familiarity with control systems and embedded systems is highly desirable

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems or HVAC industry is a plus

  • Fluent English language (C1/2), German language (B2)
