The Commercial Senior Associate will support activities for commercialization of LRE鈥檚 existing utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects, and targeting new portfolio additions, pursuing differentiated asset monetization strategies, and aggregating competitive intelligence.
The Senior Associate will support the M&A and Origination teams on project acquisitions and divestiture transactions, and will have primary responsibility for supporting the Commercial team in its efforts to develop new and existing customer relationships, resulting in the construction of new clean energy projects, including through preparing responses to requests for pricing and bidding, conducting financial analysis, tracking the status of internal deliverables, and collecting and analyzing market data. The Senior Associate will assist in the preparation of materials for customer and counterparty outreach and internal management reporting and participate in such direct interactions where appropriate. The Senior Associate will contribute to the development of pricing, customer, and business strategies, and support analysis and recommendation of opportunities for strategic revenue growth.

Essential Functions:
- Lead in supporting senior team in acquisition and divestiture transactions and support in core M&A process activity flow, including process letters, letter of intents, shared models, deal documentation, data room preparation, diligence logs, etc.
- Lead the preparation and timely delivery of high quality proposals in response to RFPs from utilities and commercial and industrial customers and structuring of offers.
- Evaluate acquisition and origination prospects and provide recommendations to management on appropriate allocation of time and resources and contribute to the development of the M&A and Origination team strategy; identify, evaluate and communicate relevant information and trade-offs to inform decision making.
- Contribute original ideas to transactions, internal effectiveness, risk allocation, strategy, and problem-solving.
- Maintain and continuously improve systems for tracking opportunities and internal deliverables, including performing energy market research and analysis, maintaining market intelligence and providing updates to management regarding transactions and structures being executed in the market.
- Design and create outreach strategy for all products and technologies under development, including key customer messaging.
- Autonomously lead day-to-day cross-functional internal diligence efforts for commercial opportunities, and coordinate with counterparties on due diligence items and transaction deliverables.
- Run financial models independently in support of transactions, including coordinating with internal SMEs and stakeholders to quality screen inputs to financial models, interpret model results and its impact on pricing and bidding strategies.
- Lead the preparation of materials to support management and external interactions, including RFP summaries, pricing and bid approval decks and key issues lists and present analysis at pricing approval meetings with minimal oversight.
- Participate in customer/counterparty calls and management discussions and visits.

- Preferred 3-4 years experience in energy-related role as M&A/origination/sales, project development, trading, finance, strategy/consulting or similar.
- Evidence of professional development and career progression.
- Understanding of basic finance and project development aspects.
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree required, Masters Degree preferred.

- Willingness and ability to travel at least 25% of time.
