Team: Back Office Wholesale trading Gas
Location: Campus Repsol Madrid
Level of Expertise: 2+ years in back office of natural gas, LNG or other commodity trading operations
Requirements: University degree + experience in similar positions + English C1
You will join the Back Office Team (within the Control and Administration EU Management Unit).
The Back Office team is responsible for a variety of activities related to physical and derivatives Natural Gas and LNG trading, including settlement of invoices and payments, reconciliation of data to ETRM systems and regulatory reporting.
As a Back Office Analyst you will be responsible of building up or maintaining current automated processes supported by RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools such as Automation Anywhere or any other tool that can provide efficiency in the daily tasks (Excel VBA, Python etc). Among the role's responsibilities will be to work closely with the rest of the Back Office analyst that performs the settlement process and build the tools they need to make their process more efficient.
Sit with the rest of the BO area to understand their daily tasks and decide which tool provides the more efficient solution to automate their tasks
Understand how the Back Office process is capture in the ETRM system (Allegro Horizon) in order to be able to explore via SQL the data required in the process automation
Understand front-to-end trading process, both from a process and system perspective
Support automation of regulatory reporting such as EMIR, REMIT, Cores etc. Reviewing and assuring new business activities taking place within the Wholesale Gas Trading is correctly included in the regulatory reporting, from the data perspective, and ensuring relevant governance requirements are met.
Focal point for any issues or inquires related the ETRM from a Back Office perspective

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (ideally IT, Mathematics), or a combination of experience and education that provides similar skill set
A minimum of 1+ years in a IT area or experience programming or working with RPA tools.
Knowledge of process automation/RPA tools (functional or technical) – internal training will be provided in addition
Proficiency in Excel, SQL , Python is a plus
Familiarity with processes related to capturing wholesale natural gas transactions in ETRM systems
