LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy) is a high-growth renewable energy company forging a sustainable future through integrity, innovation, and positive impact. We own and operate 30 large wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States, totaling over 3 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity.
LRE has an ambitious goal of 10GW of operating assets by 2028 and are developing and contracting an increasing pipeline of new projects every year. LRE is currently seeking an Analyst, Finance to provide financial modeling, data analysis, and execution support for project financing and corporate financing activities for large-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects. This position is based in Dallas, Texas and provides an opportunity for a professional to perform interesting work within a small team, build experience in renewables, collaborate across the organization, and contribute to the Company's renewable energy mission.
Essential Functions:
- Constructs, utilizes, and maintains financial models for wind, solar, and energy storage projects to evaluate financing structures, risk factors, and performance across scenarios
- Performs project finance exercises to inform pricing, strategy, and other relevant data for the preparation of bids for development projects
- Assists with deal structuring, diligence, and closing activities
- Performs due diligence and conducts market research on modeling inputs and assumptions
- Performs Ad hoc analysis and reporting
- Additional duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related academic field
- One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in financial modeling and/or valuation is required; Preferably in the renewable power, infrastructure, or energy sectors
- Experience in project and/or corporate financing
- Working knowledge of accounting principles
- Extensive market research capability and experience
- Familiarity with conventional and/or renewable energy is highly desirable
- Advanced Excel skills (MACROs, VBA, Pivot Tables)
- Good team player and ability to work in a growing team environment
- Strong analytical, attention to detail, multitasking and problem resolution skills
- Self-starter with effective interpersonal and communication skills
