The Opportunity
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.
The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
We're looking to onboard a Document Controller to help with engineering processes for the next 6 months primarily to assist the Design Area Coordinators & DE team to manage the design process from ACC through to RibCX & the deliverables list.
Responsibilities
- Track progress of packages through ACC
- Quality checks on deliverables before issuance to Doc Control
- Track reviews in ACC and follow up reviewers as required
- Housekeeping & population of metadata within ACC
- Alignment between ACC and Deliverables List
- Coordinate / interface with Document Control team to get packages issued from the Engineering side
Required Skills and Competencies
- Ideally you will have a tertiary education and substantial experience operating in a similar role
- Outstanding communication skills and an ability to build effective relationships across a large project team
- Be someone who thrives in a fast-paced challenging environment with an ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Construction, mining or energy project experience highly regarded
