Tasks
You will work intensively at the software development for our Industrial Trucks & Services (ITS), including autonomous vehicles
You will conceptualize, design, and develop innovative embedded software architectures for vehicle control systems
You will create and analyze software requirements and define the interfaces for software components
You will evaluate appropriate technologies and tools to implement software architectures
You will collaborate with teams from Product Management, Production, Digital Solutions, Operations, Quality and Sales & Service, which are important stakeholders for our solutions
Another area of focus will be a deep dive of all different technologies used at our trucks to be a key player at the development of the next generation of trucks
You will improve software development processes and strategies for continuous integration and testing
Requirements
You have a master’s degree or PhD in engineering, (business) informatics or natural science and are now excited to gain practical experience
You have a keen interest in systems engineering, embedded systems (cyber physical systems), and ideally already have initial practical experience in software development
First experiences with real-time operating systems, embedded Linux, version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration / continuous deployment (Ci/CD) pipelines are beneficial
You have professional working proficiency in English enabling you to communicate with stakeholders and our global development teams; German language skills are needed as well
You have already acquired international experience and/or are excited by the prospect of international collaboration and a placement abroad for several months as part of the trainee program
You have strong IT skills – you particularly use MS Office daily and have knowledge of relevant programming languages, e.g., C/C++ or Python
You are a team player with strong communication skills, and you are keen to take on responsibility and to work with a high level of initiative to achieve results you can be proud of
