About the Role: 
 
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and participate in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. You will also provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to junior technicians while contributing to innovative projects within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform routine and advanced maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently, and repair or replace faulty components to ensure system reliability.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for maintenance and training, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and equipment.
  • Provide leadership, technical support, and mentorship to junior technicians, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to ensure timely resolutions. 
Skills & Experience:  
 
  • Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Knowledge of HV/LV systems and communication networks is desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus.
  
Qualifications 
 
  • NSW Electrical Supervisor's or Contractor's License
  • Valid Driver's License
  • First Aid LVR/CPR Certified
  • High Risk Work Licenses (boom lift, forklift, dogging, rigging, telehandler etc.) 
  • Working at Heights desirable
  • HV electrical qualification desirable.
  • Valid Working Rights (no sponsorship option)
 
Contract Duration: 
Wyalong – until 31st Dec 2025 (with possible extension)
Wagga Wagga – 31st Dec 2026
