Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist

As a Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the positioning and visibility of Stora Enso in Western Europe. You will develop and implement marketing and communication strategies that contribute to our commercial growth objectives and sustainability ambitions.

You combine strategic consulting and project management with a hands-on approach, from developing annual plans to executing them. In this dynamic environment, you will manage multiple projects at once—creating content that shares our knowledge and vision, optimizing internal communication processes, and driving initiatives that support our goals.
 

Your Key Responsibilities

• Translating our mission, vision, and core values into compelling materials;

• Strengthening Stora Enso's brand identity and positioning in Western Europe;

• Developing and implementing internal communication programs focused on sustainability, safety, diversity, and inclusion to foster engagement and collaboration;

• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners on both external (brand) campaigns and internal communications;

• Creating and executing marketing and communication campaigns aligned with our commercial objectives;

• Analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns and adjusting strategies as needed;

• Developing materials to support our sales team;

• Coming up with creative ideas to enhance our employer branding;

• Writing and editing compelling content for blogs, newsletters, customer stories, and other marketing materials;

• Creating and managing content such as images, infographics, and videos for various channels, including websites, social media, press releases, and internal platforms (WeShare, Narrowcasting);

• Preparing and supporting trade fairs and events.

Profile

• Completed higher education (HBO) degree in marketing, communications, or a related field;

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a B2B environment;

• Ability to identify and seize commercial opportunities;

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (German is a plus);

• Creative, proactive, results-oriented, and detail-oriented;

• Strong organizational and project management skills;

• Affinity with sustainability;

• Pragmatic and flexible, able to adapt quickly;

• Independent and a true team player.

Business Unit Western Europe

In 2023, Stora Enso completed the acquisition of the De Jong Packaging Group (now Business Unit Western Europe), one of the largest manufacturers of corrugated packaging in Western Europe (The Netherlands, Germany, UK and Belgium).  Most of the sites are corrugated converting and packaging wholesales facilities. The Business Unit is part of the Packaging Solutions Division of Stora Enso.
