Senior Manager, Build Planning & Inventory Operations
Position Summary
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Manager, Build Planning & Inventory Operations, to lead end-to-end inventory strategy and vehicle planning, from vehicle build through field inventory deployment. This highly dynamic role will lead a vehicle operations team and drive both strategic projects and high-priority initiatives for our North American Sales team. The ideal candidate will bring prior vehicle sales and operations experience, understand vehicle product planning, and be familiar with North America automotive customer demand trends. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, learn quickly, and strive for results in a fast-paced environment.
You Will
- Align build planning with sales planning and inventory operations management to ensure the full vehicle lifecycle strategy is cohesive from end-to-end.
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, factory teams, and lead vehicle planning programs that align with sales and production goals.
- Partner with sales, production, factory, and logistics teams to ensure end-to-end processes for inventory management align with business objectives.
- Lead a team of program managers and analysts that support the vehicle planning strategy for inventory programs.
- Partner with field sales leaders to ensure vehicle planning supports sales objectives and customer demand.
- Align with product marketing and analytics teams on vehicle configuration strategy to ensure product planning meets brand strategy.
- Develop a deep knowledge of interdepartmental dependencies and be responsible for driving the resolution of issues cross-functionally as they arise.
- Support compliance and consistency for daily business requirements across operations and programs.
- Relentlessly focus on process improvement and solution efforts to help scale the overall inventory operations programs and optimize cost.
- Create, document, analyze, and iterate end-to-end processes.
- Create and drive project plans for various critical workstreams.
- Provide status updates and project updates to internal and external stakeholders alike.
- Support leadership with project management and building efficiencies to scale to inventory operational departments.
You Bring
- Passion for outstanding customer experience, and an understanding of how operational efficiencies impact said experience.
- Ability to partner cross-functionally to deliver major initiatives, all while relentlessly prioritizing based on need.
- Strong analytical ‘doer’ skills, being able to not only understand executive-level reporting needs, but also capable of building reports or performing analysis independently.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, and an ability to create in an undefined, unestablished environment.
- Self-starter mentality and comfort working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High-performing individual with strong business acumen and ability to execute on a wide range of projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present complex sets of information to varying levels of audience.
- Aptitude for driving tasks to completion with minimal guidance while still operating in a team environment.
- 10+ years of experience in automotive sales, vehicle planning, and/or inventory management in automotive, mobility, and relevant adjacent sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree required.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$185,000—$195,000 USD
