Purpose of the Role:


As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll develop, optimize, and maintain efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. You will play a critical role in our world-class, high-volume manufacturing plant, as we expand to meet the global demand for Carbon Dioxide capture products (Structured Absorbent Beds – SAB).  


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field, and between 2 - 8 years of experience in high-volume, world-class manufacturing process development.
  • You have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems, including experience in process validation and optimization.
  • You are proficient in Lean Six Sigma, D/P FMEA, Design of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping, SPC (including Mini-Tab), Kaizen, and 5S. You have the ability to perform root cause analysis and apply the right problem-solving tool for each situation.
  • You have strong abilities in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor, along with experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) tools. 

 

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:


  • You have experience working with highly automated equipment.
  • You have experience in web handling equipment.


What Success looks like in this role:

 

  • You will identify and specify equipment, tools, and fixtures for manufacturing, ensuring proper installation, maintenance, and calibration.
  • You will lead process and equipment validation activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • You'll develop and maintain key manufacturing documents, such as PFDs, PFMEAs, SOPs, and work instructions, and train production staff.
  • You will collaborate with design engineers to ensure new product designs are manufacturable, focusing on DFM and DFA principles.
  • You will optimize production schedules, conduct capacity analysis, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • You will drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC, addressing production issues, monitoring KPIs, and promoting safety and sustainability.
