We are now looking for 

 

People Governance & Experience Manager (m/f/d)

 

to join our team working for a better future on a temporary contract for 24 month.

 

The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany.

 

What you will be doing
 

As People Governance & Experience Manager your work will focus on these

 

  • Responsibilities
    • HR Governance & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, processes, and systems to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
    • Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire employee journey (onboarding to offboarding) to enhance engagement, effectiveness, and retention.
    • Annual HR Cycle Execution: Lead key cyclical HR processes such as performance management, goal setting, talent reviews, and pulse surveys to drive continuous improvement.
    • Process Optimization: Design and refine HR workflows to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.
    • HR Systems & Reporting: Ensure HR technology solutions support governance and experience goals while providing accurate data for decision-making. Develop and maintain a reporting framework for the People function.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with HR, leadership, and employees to ensure policies and processes align with business needs and employee expectations.
    • Change Management & Communication: Lead initiatives that support cultural change, HR transformation, and employee engagement efforts.
    • Risk & Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to labour laws, industry standards, and internal policies through audits and reporting mechanisms.

 

  • Accountabilities
    • Ensuring HR policies and processes are clear, compliant, aligned with business objectives and drive employee engagement and overall effectiveness.
    • Delivering a seamless and engaging employee experience across all lifecycle stages.
    • Managing the execution of annual HR cycles, including performance management, engagement surveys, and feedback loops.
    • Driving HR system effectiveness by leveraging data, automation, and user-friendly technology.
    • Enabling continuous improvement in HR service delivery and governance.
    • Supporting audit readiness and risk management in HR operations.
    • Collaborating with leadership to ensure HR strategies align with company goals.
       

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • 5+ years experience in HR governance, employee experience, or HR operations roles.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws and compliance frameworks
  • Process design and optimization skills
  • Knowledge of HR systems and data analytics
  • Skills in employee experience strategies, change management and stakeholder engagement
  • Familiarity with HRIS, workflow automation tools and reporting software.
  • Mindset of strategic thinker with a people-first approach, balancing compliance and employee needs
