ADS (Automated Driving Systems) Support Technicians are responsible for maintenance, upkeep, and proper handling of software systems such as the ADS, APC system, and various other onboard compute units.

The ADS Technician is responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of automated driving systems in various vehicles. This role requires a thorough understanding of autonomous vehicle technology, electronics, and software systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, developers, and other technicians to ensure the smooth operation of automated driving systems.


Location:  Jacksonville, FL - Position is on-site


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of automated driving systems to identify and resolve issues, including hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on automated driving systems to ensure optimal performance and      reliability. Repairs include using basic hand tools and specialty tools to replace sensors, replace/repair compute units, repair/install wiring, and other repairs as required. 
  • Testing and Calibration: Conduct testing and calibration of sensors, cameras, and other components to ensure accurate data      collection and system functionality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, repairs, and tests conducted on automated driving systems.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineers, software developers, suppliers, and other technicians to address technical      challenges and improve system performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Education:   Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:   Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive technology, electronics, or a related field.   Experience with automated driving systems is a plus.


  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software for automotive systems.
    • Strong understanding of electronic systems and components.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors and in vehicles.
  • Travel up to 25% - Majority of travel will be within Florida with occasional travel to other parts of the country.
