Wärtsilä Global Business Services (WGBS) provides reliable, scalable, and standardized services to support core business operations. WGBS partners with businesses to drive continuous improvements in end-to-end processes for enhanced effectiveness, quality, efficiency, and compliance.

 

We are looking for an Accountant, Record to Report (RTR) to our RTR team in Europe2, Middle East and South Asia. We offer you the opportunity to work in an international and energetic environment. This is a permanent position and the preferred location are in Finland, however other locations in Europe could also be considered.
 
The Accountant RTR, is a financials and end-to-end process minded person with a proactive, focused, and detailed mindset. (S)he is a fact-based challenger who support and defines ways to develop and improve processes and tools within own area of expertise.
 
Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Responsible for company level reporting, according to legal compliance and Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines and requirements
  • Ensuring correctness of company’s financial situation, including for example Profit & Loss Statement, Balance sheet and Fixed Assets
  • Performing Record to Report activities and processes on company level in SAP and HFM, participating in development and optimizing related processes, and supporting the businesses in financial processes
  • Contributing to external auditing, internal auditing, and internal control reporting of the company
  • Supporting in implementation of global processes and guidelines, by actively challenging any possible deviations in the process
  • Participating in migrations, validating data and migrating new Wärtsilä companies within the process scope
  • Active co-operation, communication and knowledge sharing with related end-to-end processes and internal and external stakeholders globally
  • Supporting in identifying, evaluating and implementing new and innovative solutions ensuring continuous development, improvement and harmonisation in the RTR processes and tools
  • Ensuring proper and updated documentation of the process flows, worksplits, tasks and agreed guidelines
  • Supporting manager in leading and coaching RTR team to work effectively and in accordance with Wärtsilä and WGBS strategy, vision, mission, and values
  • Accountant tasks requiring expertise knowledge in assigned area
  • Other task related to RTR requested by Line Manager


Main requirements in this role are:

 

  • Bachelor or master’s level university education or equivalent in Financial Accounting
  • Good understanding of IFRS
  • Flexibility and good team working skills
  • Systematic and organised way of working, paying attention to details
  • Automation and development-oriented mind-set
  • Advanced English skills, other languages are considered an advantage
  • Networking, network facilitation and co-creation
  • Cooperation with different external and internal stakeholders

 
In addition, as an ideal candidate you:

 

  • Have experience from in Financial Accounting area
  • Have knowledge and experience of SAP, FI and CO module
  • Have work experience from a Global business services environment
