Job Summary:
Landis + Gyr is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Project Manager to work with Project Managers who lead teams to accomplish project tasks, timelines, and achieve business goals.
Candidates must have demonstratable experience executing multiple projects within a Stage-Gate & Agile methodology to ensure that all deliverables are completed and approved by project stakeholders. The Associate Project Manager will be working with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to ensure products are launched on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, control, and coordinate the activities of a project core team to produce deliverables agreed upon with executive and/or functional management.
- Manage, with support, the project(s) and execute activities around the boundaries of scope, schedule, risks, and cost.
- Report project status to the PMO and other stakeholders.
- Work within a Stage-Gate methodology.
- Learn and practice project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum management.
- Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
- Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
- Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- An understanding of project management scheduling tools (i.e. Microsoft Project).
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, & listening). Understand how to measure audience and craft communications to meet their needs. Use listening skills to completely understand tough situations and help resolve them.
- Ability to develop leadership skills within project team and with customers relations
- Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward.
- Strong ability to resolve conflicts between members of project team or as needed throughout the organization.
- Organizational abilities needed as multiple projects will be assigned.
- Change management skills. Ability to accept change and respond to setbacks with minimal disruptions.
- Strong negotiating skills for working with stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
- Work closely with our customers and must demonstrate distinct functional and professional knowledge to ensure that the work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Work alongside cross functional teams to develop and execute the overall strategy for assigned products
- Collaboration with R&D, Deployment, Sales and Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Proven ability to facilitate groups and/or teams
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking
- Organizational skills including prioritization, project management and resource deployment
- Ability to influence individuals and organizations not under a direct reporting relationship
- Proven leadership skills in mentoring and developing others
- Travel to customer sites- 25%
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree (AA, AS, AAS, AAA); Business, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems Management or related disciplines preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in Project Management
- CAPM Certification
- Experience in the utility, telecommunications or similarly regulated industries preferred

- Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.
- Driving Status: Driving during travel, Travel required Up to 25%
- Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. - Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others.

Pay is in the range of $67,100 - $100,287 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
