Job Description

Job purpose:

Logistic Team lead is a professional responsible for ensuring that the supply chain is efficient and effective throughout the organization. Supports organizing, storing and monitoring the distribution of goods to ensure materials are timely shipped to their appropriate destinations in perfect quality.

The primary task of this role is to be a single point of contact for internal stake holders in the region and perform close supervision of the logistics service provider performances, warehouse operations and transportation management activities within the region.

Act as an owner/ support of safety, quality, fulfilment performance, cost and inventory for the region providing the necessary decisions and analytics.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role

  • The logistic team lead is responsible for supervising the complete logistics supply chain cycle, including daily operational support to the relevant area (TPEM, CSR, RSP), and able to understand, execute logistic operation in case of need.
  • Strategically support planning and managing logistics, warehousing, and transportation. Have full understanding of the OTC process.
  • Keep track of quality, delivery times (on time delivery), transport costs and efficiency
  • Monitors on time execution of LSPs in the region. Holds LSPs accountable for their performance.
  • Participate in the regular service calls with related functions (LSPs & TPEM, CSR, Site teams) and proactively checks gaps in the logistics supply chain process with peers and internal customers (TPEM, CSR, RSP, Site teams, Sales) and facilitates resolution.
  • Drive resolution of any arising problems or complaints and provide RCA
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Actively participates in supplier selection if required (cross functional cooperation)
  • Network optimization: Continuously monitors logistics footprint and supply chain of the given area and proposes new layouts according to changed demand, market or technological, environmental changes (ex: Global Warehouse Optimization project)
  • Support the creation of the working and co-operational rules, procedures between LSPs and Albemarle departments. Support TM master data accuracy (lead-times, routes, cycle times).
  • Learn & Understand TM system and its dependencies, and act as SME for the team
  • Supervise, coach and train operational teams (TPEM)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • College or university degree preferably in logistics/procurement/ warehouse management
  • Min. 5 year in the relevant field (logistics/OTC)
  • Advanced communication level in English (both written and verbal)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Having good understanding of logistics processes & supply chain processes
  • SAP TM Knowledge
