Sr. Electrical Engineer, Power Electronics Test & Validation

We are currently seeking a Sr. Engineer for our Test & Validation Power Electronics team.  Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.

  • Review schematics, PCB designs, calculation and simulation of power electronics converters.

  • Conduct verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry and requirements.

  • Strong hands-on and trouble-shooting skills in testing and verifications of power electronics systems, including the use of lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, scope, etc.).

  • Capability to analyze root-cause of the power electronics system and drive R&D activities independently.

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

 Qualifications 

  • Masters or Ph. D degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing preferred.

  • Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals.

  • Knowledge of automotive and industrial environmental reliability requirements (GMW, ISO, IEC standards).

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

 

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$113,800—$156,530 USD
