We are looking for an experienced IT Solution Architect to join Business Solution Team in Transformers Business Unit.
Transformers BU contribute to a reliable, sustainable and efficient generation, transmission and distribution of the electricity.
Business Solution Team (BST) is responsible for the successful execution of the Business Unit’s IT strategy and managing IT operations and applications across all Transformers manufacturing plants across the globe.
IT Solution Architect will lead the design and improve the IT Application Landscape in Europe Hub. We are on a growth journey, and you will one of the first few who will lead the design and improvement of our IT Landscape.

How you will make an impact:
Architecture: Design and implement the EU Hub IT Landscape in a very strong collaboration with Global Enterprise Architect and according to the Enterprise Architectural guidelines. Establish and maintain architecture guidelines and best practices for HUB to ensureconsistency and quality.
Solution Design: Be the reviewer, approver and gatekeeper for all HUB Applications’ technical designs; approve and advise the vendor teams on application design.
Integration Design: Design and support data integration development and optimizations of data flow processes to ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery to analytics consumers. Place orders, approve designs and solution for all HUB Integrations
Non-functional Requirements: Place major non-functional requirements to all technical designs. Monitor and optimize design performance to meet evolving business needs and minimize latency
Consultation to teams and projects: Collaborate with stakeholders (IT and Business) to plan and implement optimizations for the legacy applications and new projects, including capacity planning, performance tuning, automation, and infrastructure upgrades. Provide technical consultations to application teams on best practices, and troubleshooting, review code developed by teams to ensure compliance with standards, identify potential issues, and recommend improvements.
Emerging Technologies: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in manufacturing, engineering and R&D domains to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Your background:
Education & experience: Min. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in IT Solution Design and Architecture. Experience from working on large scale projects
Area knowledge: Very good knowledge of general IT principles and frameworks, Very good knowledge of different design patterns for Applications and Integrations
Tech experience: 3+ years of experience in programming Java/.Net/C/C++/SQL/Python)
Working approch: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lead indirectly (internal teams and vendor teams). Growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
Soft skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred not manadatory experience: Solution Architecture experience from manufacturing, engineering and R&D domains (preferred but not mandatory
