Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for recording and processing vendor invoices in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify invoices.
  • Match purchase orders confirming prices and quantity to vendors’ invoices.
  • Verify receipt of material or services/confirmation of receipt of material or services.
  • Register invoices in the accounting system
  • Manage the AP Inbox E-mail and reply to vendor’s e-mails in a timely and professional manner
  • Verify vendor’s banking information
  • Prepare and enter payments in online banking
  • Maintain lists of payables as well as a general ledger
  • Create and distribute monthly financial reports
  • Perform additional administrative tasks or other related duties as required
  • Collaborate with the Project Team in matters related to vendors’ invoices and payments

Essential Functions

  • Enter invoices in accounting system
  • Respond to vendors inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance to Company policies and procedures

Typical compensation for this role is between $63,000 and $65,000 depending on work experience and education.
