Salary: starting from £30,400 per annum

The position of Technical Team Member is based within the SPM Licence Programmes business unit, ultimately reporting to the Head of Development for Low Carbon Technology and LV Cables.

The Technical Team Member will predominantly be responsible for issuing, processing, and managing all data associated with the LV Service Termination Programme and related works undertaken by Framework Partners. In addition, the Team Member will provide support across several programmes undertaken by the LCT and LV Cables business function to ensure deliver of ED2 targets and milestones.

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute as an effective member of the LV Service Termination Team.
  • Manage the processing of work instructions for Service Termination work to Framework Partners and subsequent closures
  • Ensure that the best practice for data management is maintained for the programme
  • Manage correspondence with Framework Partners and Smart Grid Ops to ensure that all work is issued, delivered and closed in accordance with the relevant processes and timescales.
  • Assist with the creation of Purchase Orders and invoicing in SAP
  • Provide administration, management support and reporting.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all aspects of your operation and actively promote customer service standards within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure awareness of and comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental requirements on issues as they arise.
  • Work towards a zero-accident culture and lead by example 
  • Use innovative IT solutions and best practices to increase efficiency.
  • Administer and process all paperwork during the Project Lifecycle.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained in all activities performed.
  • Participate in the development / improvement of processes and procedures within Licence Programmes, LCT & LV Cables Team

What you’ll bring

  • Working knowledge of network and business data management and management reporting systems. 
  • Working knowledge of Regulatory Reporting Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Guaranteed Standard, Voluntary Standard, Licence and Ofgem requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-functional team
  • Excellent telephony skills
  • Developed data management skills
  • Knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Awareness of regulatory issues impacting on the Business
  • Awareness of inter-business relationships

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate as a minimum:

  • Higher Education or equivalent (four GCSE grades) particularly in Maths and English. 
  • Computer literacy – e.g., Microsoft Office suite
