Job Description Summary:
The Developer & Land Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Development department in all activities.The Nadara DEV department is responsible for the planning, design, licensing and execution of wind and solar projects.
Primary focus will be land management and acquisition capabilities within Portugal, including the identification, prospection, and securing land leases for solar and wind development activities.
Job Description:
Main Responsibilities
1) Real estate acquisition
Representing Nadara professionally, establishing and maintaining good relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, land managers or others who own or manage land to ensure they have good understanding of project progress and agreement terms
Negotiating viable and cost-effective land deals that allow existing portfolio projects reach their full potential, recording the meetings held and seeking resolutions as they arise
Identification of land plots suitable for solar power plants, understanding solar resource and main technical and environmental restrictions
Liase with the legal department to ensure commercial and legal requirements prior the contract signature
Commercial understanding of business needs with regards to land agreements and viability of renewable projects.
Support on management of internal data bases, including mapping in GIS platforms of land lease contracts
Support wider business with response to queries associated with land managements, namely land rights and any associated matters (cables, accesses, overflight, easements)
2) Development
Originate greenfield, acquisition or co-development opportunities for projects;
Manage the development process to optimise the budget and ensure project is delivered successfully in the quickest time;
Successfully manage any appeal process and discharge of relevant conditions while managing all project stakeholders;
Manage JDA/External (project management) consultants as per agreement and ensure company goals are achieved from the agreement.

Good understanding of real estate agreements
Essential
High level of commercial awareness
Previous experience (3+ years) in real estate negotiations and land lease contracts
Driving license
Fluency in Portuguese and English (required)
Desirable
Proficiency in GIS softwares
Travel requirements
Frequent travel within Portugal.
Flexibility to be based in the north of Portugal.
