Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager will manage the sales region and promote & grow our existing PVC piping system business, with emphasis on our Multi Fittings municipal waterworks product line in our California region. The primary objective is to manage and grow the sales in the territory and formulate and execute sales strategies. The position requires the individual to manage independent sales agents (reps) and network with our customers including distributor partners while developing long-term trusting relationships.


Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage and empower local reps providing mentorship and direction.
  • Establish sales targets & objectives for reps and monitor progress.
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term and trusting customer relationships.
  • Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Track leads and project opportunities.
  • Manage regional pricing strategy.
  • Interact with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Logistics and Marketing.
  • Provide technical presentations and on-site training to distributor partners.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

  • College degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably with experience in the municipal / waterworks industry.
  • High ambition, Strong Drive and Proven Initiative.
  • Strong technical, analytical, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong digital literacy including MS Excel preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software.
  • Eye for business with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Availability to travel is required.
