About the Team:
The Market Activation team drives the strategic implementation of CDP's Marketing & Communications campaigns across APAC, ensuring local relevance and effectiveness. The team tailors global campaign tactics to regional markets, using the full breadth of marketing and communications channels, while ensuring alignment with CDP’s strategic objectives and positioning.
The role includes:
•\tDeliver an activation plan in China for CDP’s M&C campaigns that meet APAC KPIs, as defined with the Head of Activation, APAC.
•\tContribute to global campaign development and de-termine the most effective tactics for activating the campaign in Greater China, based on campaign ob-jectives and local market needs, with a particular fo-cus on media, market partnerships and high-level speaking appearances at events
•\tDevelop PR materials, manage local PR agencies, and pitch stories to top-tier media outlets to enhance CDP’s visibility in the region. Mature and grow our network of top-tier local journalists.
•\tStrengthen CDP’s presence as a key commentator on strategic climate and nature topics by working closely with the Media Relations & Spokesperson Engagement team to address trending local issues.
•\tPrepare and brief senior spokespeople for media in-terviews and speaking engagements.
•\tEnsure CDP positioning, key messaging and strate-gic objectives are well represented in all activations in China.
•\tCoordinate with our CEO Office team for CEO media profiling and event opportunities.
Inform content plans tailored to Chinese audiences and brief the Content studio on the development of insightful content, ensuring alignment with CDP’s messaging and regional audience needs.
•\tPartner with the Marketing Performance & Enable-ment team to monitor and enhance CDP’s website in China while considering regional needs.
•\tWork with central Marketing teams to provide in-sights on the Chinese market and audiences, ensure global strategy and planning serves China, and im-plement regionally focused activity in line with global strategy.
•\tWork with campaign managers to adapt and execute centrally managed global marketing activities, such as email campaigns and social media.
•\tCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align communications efforts with regional priorities and seek feedback on campaign impact.
•\tTrack and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and digital channels, and benchmark against industry and regional best practice.
•\tProvide translation and localization support.
The successful candidate will have the following capabilities:
•\tFluency in written and spoken Chinese with excellent command of business English.
•\tDeep understanding of corporate sustainability, financial markets, and ESG-related regulations and policies.
•\tIn-depth knowledge of the Chinese economy, media landscape, culture, and relevant CDP partners.
•\tProven ability to build and maintain a top-tier journal-ist network in China.
•\tConfident in coordinating and briefing senior stake-holders, both internally and externally.
•\tAbility to independently draft compelling media and event materials, aligning with global key messaging, including on complex and sensitive topics.
• Creative and strategic mindset, capable of applying innovative ideas to achieve organizational objectives and KPIs.
•\tSkilled in providing integrated marketing communica-tions strategies for campaign planning and execution.
•\tPassionate about promoting and building CDP’s brand presence globally and regionally.
•\tCapable of applying CDP’s strategic priorities and value proposition effectively.
•\tStrong analytical skills for tracking performance met-rics, measuring impact, and applying insights for im-provement.
•\tCommitment to ongoing learning in marketing and communications, staying up-to-date on best practic-es, emerging trends, channels, and tools.
•\tHighly organized with a meticulous approach to meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards. A critical eye for detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
•\tExperience working effectively in global and diverse teams.
•\tAbility to work swiftly under pressure and meet rapid deadlines.
Salary & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary and social, health and housing funds in accordance with local regulations, with 20 days’ vacation per year, in addition to national holidays. Final offer amount depends on multiple factors such as candidates experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data.
