The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing daily operations, ensuring the seamless execution of missions requested by our client. Acting as a vital liaison between the client and Transdev employees, this role focuses on team leadership, operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety & ComplianceUphold Transdev’s high safety standards in all operations, both inside and outside the vehicle.
Prioritize safety in all decision-making processes and workforce management.
Respond to system emergencies, investigate incidents, and complete accident reports.
Monitor and enforce compliance with global process standards, industry regulations, and safety policies.
Identify and address unsafe locations or situations, making necessary recommendations for resolution.
Operational Leadership & Workforce ManagementProvide leadership and oversight for a remote and on-site workforce to ensure daily operational goals are met.
Conduct on-the-road fieldwork, including dispatch, troubleshooting, and responding to operational needs.
Strategically plan and forecast workforce needs to align with client demands and operational goals.
Schedule, staff, and coordinate remote teams to meet client requirements efficiently.
Manage timecard approvals to ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll policies.
Administer corrective actions as needed, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive operational and personnel matters.
Communication & Team DevelopmentServe as a liaison between management, customer, and public stakeholders, ensuring clear, courteous, and professional communication.
Lead team briefings and safety-focused discussions, keeping employees informed of updates and expectations.
Assist team members with career development, performance management, and interpersonal issues.
Support the Client’s operations leadership team in daily management tasks, including mission assignments, meetings, and stakeholder communication.
Process Improvement & Performance ManagementTranslate client and Transdev KPIs, metrics, and deliverables into actionable daily performance goals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including quality control checks and 6S methodology enhancements.
Ensure operational efficiency through policy implementation, problem resolution, and workforce engagement.
Maintain a strong focus on data-driven decision-making to improve processes and service delivery.
Additional Responsibilities
Develop and execute daily operational plans, aligning with client specifications and priorities.
Supervise and monitor workforce activities, providing coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
Support incident management and response efforts, working proactively to identify and resolve operational issues.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of Transdev’s autonomous vehicle program.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred or 2 or more years Operations experience in leading teams
Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field - preferred
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required).
Ability to use a computer to generate reports and schedules
Ability to read, understand, and interpret system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details
An awareness and willingness to use Operational Excellence tools and techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to a large group of drivers
Ensure compliance throughout the site to global process standards and works on continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate, monitor and supervise the activities of subordinates. Informs other management personnel regarding operational/personnel problems as appropriate and offers ideas towards resolution
Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
Ability to work for different managers
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding of department performance goals
Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
Must be able to work either early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, flexible shift if needed
Must be eager, self-starter, and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments
Punctual, reliable, and team player
Travel up to 20% of the time
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate; handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk and hear
Must be able to withstand working outdoors in inclement weather
Frequently required to sit
Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl and smell
Occasionally required to lift up to 45 pounds
May work in extreme heat and cold, and in damp environment with moderate noise
Remaining work is accomplished standing and walking for up to 10 hours during shifts. May be conducted in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer; time is spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Must be 21 years old;
All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Safety Sensitive Positions will also be subject to a physical screening
Transdev maintains a Drug Free Workplace and may require participation in a random drug screening program.
Transdev reserves the right to perform ongoing background checks for all employees except in states where this is prohibited by state law. Transdev will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.
Employees must maintain an acceptable Driving Record suitable to being approved to drive as part of their regular duties. Records are monitored on an ongoing or regular basis pursuant to local state law.
Ability to qualify for an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (AVT) license in states and positions where it’s required
