We are seeking a Human Resources Intern (PAID 12 MONTH INTERNSHIP), based from our Vancouver, BC offices.

As a Human Resources Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR team in various areas and will have the opportunity to learn, grow and make an impact as an HR professional, applying what you've learned in school and gaining hands on experience and insight into your future career.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes and candidates, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintaining recruitment records.
- Following up with candidates to ensure clarity on the recruitment process.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with external resources such as Universities and recruitment firms
- Coordinating and attending recruitment events.
- Coordinating and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
Employee Relations:
- Supporting the HR team in addressing employee questions and concerns.
- Assisting in organizing employee engagement initiatives and company events.
HR Administration:
- Maintaining and updating employee records and databases accurately and confidentially.
- HR Reporting.
Training and Development:
- Assisting in coordinating training sessions and workshops.
- Coordinating with trainers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth training delivery.
- Recording training sessions in the company HRIS
HR Projects:
- Collaborating with the HR team on special projects such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, talent management and retention programs.
Compliance:
- Assisting in ensuring HR practices comply with relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Assisting with HR audits and data reporting.

Compensation is based on individual work experience, skills, education, and includes a salary of $55,500 per year.
Required Skills and Competencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field.
- Previous work experience in HR, either through internships or entry-level positions a strong asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
