The Opportunity/Role 📢
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Credit Controller to join our operations here in Huntingdon, Cambs. Reporting to the UK Commercial Finance Director, responsible for managing delinquency, debt recovery and ensuring cash is collected as it falls due.
Main responsibilities will include:
Credit Control debt collection for key high value accounts.
Chasing customers and agreeing account resolutions (via phone, email, online and face to face).
Liaising with internal departments to resolve customer queries.
Keeping customer retention levels high through pro-active debt query resolution.
Allocating and reconciling accounts.
Monitor Debtor balances and proactively reduce debt in its early stages.
Reducing debtors’ ‘Days Sales Outstanding’.
Customer relations.
Creating and documenting payment resolution procedures and policies that ensure timely payment.
Effectively deal with all correspondence received in the credit control inbox.
Manage write-offs, bad debt provisions and agreeing of payment plans.
Providing future cash collection expectations.
Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings.
Preparing proposals for legal action and or reserve/write off for review by Commercial Finance Director.
Ensuring the companies credit collection policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements:
Previous experience of end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially during difficult customer negotiations
Ability to build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting package
Working knowledge of Credit law (preferred)
Ideally CICM qualified or working towards
