About the role 


We are looking for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to support the deployment of Chloris’ innovative technology for enterprise clients in the voluntary carbon markets and supply chain sustainability.  

We are looking for someone who:

The Full Stack Software Engineer will work closely with the Technical and Commercial Teams to build, improve, and expand the customer-facing Chloris Platform web application.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain the front-facing web application and API which deliver Chloris Geospatial’s unique data insights to customers. 
  • Use agile methodologies to manage and prioritize tasks under the guidance of a senior engineer.  
  • Work with the product team to understand customers and industry trends  and implement features that address user needs and improve their experience.  
  • Provide direct customer support, assisting users with technical issues using the API or platform.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong understanding of modern web software architecture patterns, infrastructure deployment, databases and algorithms
  • Strong communication skills, and desire to work in a collaborative team environment, including regular code reviews, architecture planning meetings, pair programming

Ideal candidates will have

  • Experience with web mapping technologies such as Mapbox GL, Leaflet, etc.
  • Experience with deploying customs web application/services to cloud-hosted services, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (AWS experience preferred)

Location + Time Commitment 


This is a full-time, hybrid position in Boston, MA. Chloris is a hybrid-first company with a transatlantic team based throughout Western Europe and the United States, concentrated near our Boston headquarters. We are committed to providing a hybrid work environment that allows for in-person and on-site collaboration two days/week, quarterly all-hands retreats, as well as the benefits that come from flexible, work-from-anywhere arrangements.
