Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!
Topic description:
The design of production systems and mechanical seals from a hygienic point of view is becoming increasingly important in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Hygienic design gives microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi little opportunity to settle and multiply. It also enables the systems to be cleaned quickly and thoroughly. A test rig and a test methodology for the defined cleaning of components were developed and constructed as part of previous theses.
In this thesis / internship, the test bench and the test methodology are to be further developed and optimised. Furthermore, different components are to be analysed for their cleanability. The aim is to derive constructive improvements on the basis of reproducible test results.
The work includes the following points:
Enrolled student (f/m/d) in mechanical engineering, process engineering, food technology or a comparable course of study
Basic knowledge of statistical experimental design and execution
Basic knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably Solid Edge
Careful, structured and independent way of working
High willingness to learn and work
Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
