Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and international trade laws.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for import and export activities.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics providers.
  • Monitor and manage the classification of goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
  • Conduct audits and assessments of import/export activities to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on customs and trade compliance matters.
  • Resolve any issues related to customs clearance and international shipments.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams to optimize international trade operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • Knowledge in customs compliance and international trade customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using trade management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
